Borrowing a Book Club Kit
Kits are located at the Main Library, 201 S. Fountain Ave., Springfield, OH. If you are interested in borrowing a kit please ask for assistance (as items are in storage) or place it on reserve. You may also request that a kit be sent to any of our branch locations.
To see if a kit is available using our online catalog, you may search by the Author, Title or by typing Book Club Kit in the “search for” field using the Browse feature.
Kits will be labeled with this icon.
A maximum of 2 kits can be borrowed at a time for a 6 week period. A kit may be renewed one time, unless it has been reserved by another patron.
The borrower is responsible for any replacement costs incurred for missing or damaged items. All items in a kit must be returned at the same time. Replacement fees are non-refundable and no replacement items will be accepted.
All kits must be returned to a Clark County Public Library Circulation Desk. In order to ensure that all kit items are inventoried by staff, please do not return them in the bookdrops. The overdue fine for a kit is $.05 per day.
Book Club Kit titles may be available as a DVD or in an audio format such as Playaways or Books on CD. If you would like to supplement your discussion with one of these formats, please ask for assistance or check our catalog for availability. Any items that are not available may be requested through Interlibrary Loan.
Some of these items may be checked out for an extended period of time when used in conjunction with a Book Club Kit.
The Gaier Meeting Room at the Main Library is available to the public for bookings. Please call the Public Relations Department at (937) 328-6907 to reserve the room. Our branches also have meeting rooms available. Contact the respective branch for room availability.
Your group is welcome to make a suggestion for a new kit. We will make every effort to accommodate your request, but we cannot guarantee we will be able to purchase the materials. Titles must meet specific criteria before being considered for a kit. Upon acceptance, please allow a minimum of two months for processing.
Suggestions can be made at any library location or by e-mailing us at: email@example.com.
