Come in to hear Kevin Rose, historian for the Turner Foundation, speak about the prominent Springfield architect Charles A. Cregar.  Cregar is responsible for designing his own home, the Kelly’s Arcade, the City Building (now the Heritage Center), St. Raphael’s Catholic Church, Third Presbyterian Church, St. Joseph’s Catholic Church and St. John’s Lutheran Church.

Join local author Douglas Kirkpatrick as he discusses his new book "The S&W Traction Line: the Little Railway to Nowhere."

The "S&W" details the history of the old traction line that served S. Charleston from 1904-1922; the Springfield, Charleston, Washington and Chillicothe Railway.  The history of this line is an amazing story of con artists, scammed investors and ordinary citizens who all played a role in a fascinating chapter of local history.
